Army Form E.611 - Imperial Yeomanry, re-engagement

I have already posted the Territorial Force version of E.611. This is the one used for Imperial Yeomanry re-engagements.

The British Army printed hundreds, if not thousands, of Army Forms which were generated to cover ever conceivable incident and eventuality that might affect a man during the course of his military career. This blog merely scratches the surface of those forms and I use it as a point of reference for myself and for others who may be interested in such matters.

I appreciate that a study of army paperwork may be viewed by some as akin to train-spotting or the noting down of car registration plate numbers. That's fine, but I continue to be fascinated by the subject even if my posting of examples on this blog has played second fiddle, of late, to other commitments; other blogs; other websites.

Widows pensions 1914-1920

A sad collection of just under 10,000 records in PIN 86. These women were all widowed during the First World War.

Search WO 363 and WO 364 in a single search on Findmypast. Contains c400,000 results not found on Ancestry.

WW1 Medal Index Cards 1914-1920
First World War campaign medal entitlement details for close to 5 million men. You'll find ALL of a man's regimental numbers indexed here. Ancestry's search is limited to the last number a man was issued with; a serious failing.

Soldiers Died in The Great War 1914-1919
